A standard oak staircase had the carpeting removed and painted in a classic colour scheme, as well a berber runner was added for softness , much less expensive than re-surfacing
Adding a good mix of pieces and casual fabrics creates a comfortable and not stuffy living room , the fussy off limits room is dead not to mention a waste of space.
Painted stock cabinets with trim moulding creates an affordable custom kitchen , don't fear painting your old dated wood cabinets , can you add an island ? charming lighting?

Adding beadboard trim , hooks and shelving makes this mudroom very hard working , adding a chalkboard adds a fun and youthful sense of humor

Wow! The house appears to be very warm and elegant inside. It's not too big and not too small - it's perfect for my family. My wife and my 3 kids would love to live in that kind of house. =)
