Can you spot all of the changes ?
A standard oak staircase had the carpeting removed and painted in a classic colour scheme, as well a berber runner was added for softness , much less expensive than re-surfacing
Adding a good mix of pieces and casual fabrics creates a comfortable and not stuffy living room , the fussy off limits room is dead not to mention a waste of space.
Painted stock cabinets with trim moulding creates an affordable custom kitchen , don't fear painting your old dated wood cabinets , can you add an island ? charming lighting?
This is a void behind the tub that I utilized to provide storage

Adding beadboard trim , hooks and shelving makes this mudroom very hard working , adding a chalkboard adds a fun and youthful sense of humor

You are very creative and one thing I noticed is that you know scale. Your projects and fabric choices show your sense of proportion. I like Sarah Richardson's show and her color schemes are wonderful. I think beach type decor is airy and fresh. I live in Florida now and am redoing my house. I had a blog, did not do much on there for a while (health reasons). I am getting back into journaling, so I am glad I found your blog for motivation.
You have a beautiful home with fantastic upgrades. Your handiwork is to be admired. Love your new house, it will be great. I know with each project you will become more and more proficient at creating integrated interiors.
